ABOUT THE CONCERT
Radiance: Songs of Light, Fire & Sky
From the first light of dawn to the darkness of a total eclipse, Radiance explores music of light, fire, and sky across five centuries. Hear Renaissance madrigals by two trailblazing women composers, one rescued from a lost partbook just a few years ago, alongside Lauridsen’s passionate “Fire Songs” and Melissa Dunphy’s dazzling Totality, premiered at the BBC Proms. The evening concludes with soaring American hymns sung by the incomparable San Francisco Bay Area Chamber Choir.
